Compartment Fire Limited work on various different sites ranging from power stations, hospitals, schools and offices, all requiring different levels of experience, flexibility and security.
Working on a number of Nuclear Power Stations within the UK, CFL have undertaken all aspects passive fire protection in highly sensitive areas. Works on nuclear significant plant require a high level of safety documentation together with experienced operatives with security clearance and vetting.
Fire safety is of paramount importance but even more so within educational buildings. Fires within schools are a common event and effective compartmentation ensuring safe means of escape for pupils/students and staff is vital. CFL have undertaken recent firestopping and cavity barrier works in some local schools to provide exactly that. We are also working closely with some Universities focusing on their accommodation buildings.
Evacuating buildings where occupants have limited or zero mobility are probably the most challenging. Therefore a fire within hospitals or care homes can have catastrophic consequences. CFL continue to work tirelessly within this particular industry ensuing that buildings are kept in line with current regulation
Industrial plants often contain extremely hazardous areas and generally produce or use high levels of energy. This can increase the risk fire and in such an unfortunate event the propagation of fire can quickly reach an uncontrollable rate. CFL carryout a considerable amount of work in the industrial market, including fire/blast walls, fire doors and firestopping.
CFL continue to work with Contractors and Clients ensuring that offices, hotels and other commercial buildings have effective passive fire protection measures. Often works required have been identified during a Fire Risk Assessment, which is now a legal requirement. However, CFL regularly undertake our own compartmentation surveys providing our customers with a fully comprehensive review of the building and highlighting any areas of potential concern.
Working closely with companies who have overall responsibility of ensuring a building or site complies with fire safety is something that CFL have for a number of years. It’s our commitment to quality and service that has enabled us to build long term and successful relationships with some of the UKs biggest FM organisations. In this sector we relish the challenge of meeting the expectations of not only the management company but also that of their client.
